This was a last minute travel requirement. The hotel was about half way to my final destination. Clean and well kept grounds and interior. Standard King Room and breakfast was as expected. There are restaurants close by if you prefer. Polite and efficient staff and this facility was a no pets hotel. I have 4 rescue dogs myself that live outside my home. I board them if I will be away for several days. I prefer to not stay at pet friendly hotels because I don't want to share living quarters with animals.
So I was super excited to stay here because of the decent reviews. I payed almost $100 to share a room with a rat (or something). I was woken up by a noise in the small trash can by the desk. When I looked to check it out something jumped from the trash and ran out. After recovering from shock I called the front desk. The best part of the trip was the front desk associate Raquel! She was very sweet the entire time and even came to the room and actively searched for the rat (or whatever it was). Unfortunately management did not share the same character and the manager that came in (there was not one on duty) did not say anything to me he just talked to Raquel and told her to make the room unavailable. The other hotels in the area were all booked up and so was Comfort so I was left with no where to go. I am very disappointed in Choice because there was no way to leave a message or complaint when I called the corporate number. I was refunded my money but I really wish things had turned out differently.
3- The room was dirty and smelled terrible. The bathroom door wouldn't shut completely because it was so warped. There wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom.
5- Housekeeping did come the next day but they didn't clean the room. They swapped out the dirty towels but didn't make the beds, take the trash, etc.
2- So we tried to make the best out of the king suite. We unfolded the sofa bed to find crumbs all over the mattress. In addition, no sheets were given to us for the sofa bed. Therefore, I had to go back downstairs to the front desk.
I awarded this hotel with one star because zero stars wasn't an option.
1- We received awful customer service. We asked to switch from a king suite to two queens. The rude girl behind the counter told us she couldn't move us because the day before, her coworker told her she isn't supposed to move people. I asked to speak to a manager but there wasn't one on duty, only her. So I asked for her to call the manager. The manager never answered and never responded.
Below-average Comfort Suites. Bathroom needed upgrading, shower curtain allowed leaks all over the bathroom floor, breakfast attendant rude. It was safe and relatively clean. But there are better choices in the area. We usually try to use the choices chain but this one Falls far short of the mark.
Do NOT book this hotel!! The worst hotel experiece EVER! A four night stay turned into a nightmare. Two days straight, we left at 9am and returned at 9pm (after visiting family) and found the room the way we left it; they did not clean our room, empty the trash, change the towels nor linens, etc. When asked why they didn't clean, they stated there was a note in there system requesting DND- Don Not Disturb. We NEVER made such a request!! The teen night clerk, Billie, she was rude and no help at all. We asked Rachel for a call from the manager, Chris Shah, and never got the return phone call. They deadbolt didn't lock, one of the comforters was soiled and the elevator was out of service on Black Friday. Zero customer service.
4- After becoming very agitated, I went to take a shower only to find there was no shower curtain. I made another trip to the front desk and asked if the manager called back because something had to be done about this room. The girl said she could give me a shower curtain but that's all that could be done. She went into the back and handed me a wet, moldy shower curtain, which I had to hang myself because there's no maintenance team at this hotel.
Overall an absolutely dreadful experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. There is zero customer service there and they do not care about your experience. The hotel is old, run down, and filthy.
